With the recent vacancy in our Environmental and Safety Manager position, BCI has made a decision to use the services of Industrial Safety and Environmental Services, Inc. (ISES) out of Elkhart, Indiana to handle our OSHA and EPA requirements. ISES is excited to be a part of our
organization and with the support and help of JB and Carol, ISES guarantees that this will be as seamless a transition as possible!

Since 1986, ISES services industrial clients of all types with their staff of 18 safety, environmental, and engineering professionals. ISES has provided services to hundreds of companies over the past 22 years. ISES will be providing BCI with their staff at our facility to fulfill all of the complex regulatory requirements that BCI is obligated to comply with. In the infancy of this task you will see several faces, the most important being Kathy Norris, Senior Industrial Hygienist and Project Manager of ISES. Kathy has been with ISES since the beginning and is one of four Senior Project Managers. You will be seeing her on-site Monday and Thursday for the next few weeks to formalize our environmental and safety goals. Also on Monday and Thursday, Shannon Gour, Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator of ISES, will be providing support for our safety requirements by conducting new employee orientation training. In addition, ISES Environmental Technician Kim Soard will be handling all of the day-to-day environmental affairs. She will be at BCI Tuesday and Thursday, and eventually she will be the main “face” of the environmental and safety department! Currently, Jack Koogler, a former OSHA inspector and safety specialist, will be conducting a wall-to-wall safety audit for the next couple of weeks so that ISES and BCI have a platform to begin our improvement on safety!

It is the goal of BCI to elevate our safety and environmental programs to the level that we strive to maintain with the quality of the products we produce. It is the goal of ISES to build strong working relationships with all staff, supervisors and hourly employees to make BCI a leader in our industry for environmental and safety compliance.
